Christmas In Mousehole

Christmas In Mousehole

Main Category: Past to Present

Christmas is a truly magical time in the village of Mousehole. The harbour, streets and surrounding hills are lit up with coloured lights making a breathtaking scene.

Preparation starts from the end of September for the big switch-on around the 15th December. On the 19th December the lights are switched off for an hour to pay tribute to those lifeboat men who lost their lives at sea. It is a moving and thoughtful occasion.

If you are planning a visit over the Christmas period, arrive early because parking is very limited. There is a car park at the entrance to the village that charges a couple of pounds towards the lights. Well worth it!

There are plenty of shops, tea rooms and galleries to keep you amused for a few hours, plus the welcoming pub, The Ship Inn.

No contact details have been provided for Christmas In Mousehole.

The LayStar online web directory is completely free and is the place to advertise attractions and services. Maybe you want to let people know about a great take-away, or an outstanding local school. You may know of a local club or charity organisation that could do with some positive, free publicity. With the LayStar directory you can also list your telephone number and a website link, along with an image such as a logo. Anyone can publish an attraction or service in the LayStar Directory. Simply register with us (that's free too) and use the search form on the left to find the UK location of the attraction or service (suggest the location if it doesn't yet exist on LayStar) and then follow the link that will appear here to build your advert.
