St Agnes, history and present-day details

St Agnes was built upon its tin mining history and today it welcomes visitors from far and wide for its place on the north Cornwall coast as both a traditional Cornish village and a surfers hot spot.

The village has an array of shops and places to eat and drink and is well worth a visit. St Agnes can also provide accommodation from camping sites to guest houses to hotels.

There is plenty to see and do in the area. Walkers will enjoy the coastal paths and views to die for, along with the in-land remains of Cornwall's tin mining industry. There are a number of safe beaches in the area, some with life guards. You can sit back and enjoy a well-deserved rest, or join in the fun of being in the water. You can even take up surfing and other water sports with some beaches offering lessons and equipment hire.
